Donegal Women in Business Network celebrated their 20th Anniversary in 2019, marking the occasion with a fully booked Conference.
The Committee wanted to have a tangible take-home feature from their Conference and decided on the idea of a Commemorative publication which would celebrate the women of the network – past and present – and also contain a directory of all members so they could continue to network and meet once the full day Conference was over.
Buoyed by the success of the Conference, they also decided to give their website a facelift and requested something similar to the ‘warm yet corporate’ style of the book.
The Commemorative publication contains 72 pages of interviews; features; photo galleries; tips and comments submitted by many of the 200+ network members. There is also a full directory of members at the back of the publication.
A4 size gives ample room to allow a nice balance of content and white space. The brand palette of dark purple, teal and magenta is used throughout with the addition of turquoise and various shades of blue to add further interest. Overall, the publication is engaging, varied and uncluttered.
This styling is carried through to the website re-design, keeping the same colour palette and mix of warm/approachable and corporate. The key pages re-styled are Homepage, About page and Join page. New colour palette and font is incorporated into the other pages along with new images and other graphical elements. The result is a more engaging and user friendly website to offer current members a useful source of a variety of information; news; events; resources and also contribute to members’ online presence through their directory entries. It also serves as an engaging and informative source for any prospective new members or sponsors.
