GLOBAL TILES & BATHROOMS

Logo Identity Design and Branding

THE BRIEF
DWIBN-Yellow-Line-Short
On the cusp of their 25th year in business, Global Tiles & Bathrooms decided it was time for a re-brand. They wanted a complete overhaul of their existing logo and branding to create a fresh, new, modern identity along with a range of accompanying brand assets.

THE SOLUTION

The first step was a brand discovery and audit to determine their design requirements and take an in-depth look into their current brand collateral, consumer perception, sector competition and target market.

The existing logo had lasted them well but was looking tired and dated. However, it was important to retain some brand recognition so rather than a complete change in colour palette, we decided to retain the navy blue but replace the insipid yellow with a warmer dark orange colour and also added a third colour (light blue) to the primary brand palette.

The traditional serif font Palatino was updated with a more modern sans serif Agenda for the primary typeface and Open Sans for secondary text requirements.

A ‘brand pack’ was supplied which included the brand guidelines document along with the various file types for both print and digital use.

BRAND COHESION

Once the foundation of all branding – the logo identity – was chosen, the next step was to build on this new identity to ensure brand consistency across all sections of the business.

A stationery set of letterheaded paper, compliment slips and team business cards were designed and printed. Shop floor point of sale cards were branded and vehicle livery was envisaged. The exterior of the premises was completely re-branded with new signage which was applied to the building along with a new monolith structure to grab the attention of passing traffic.

Lastly, our attention turned to the website. The existing static holding page was updated with a new, inviting and engaging homepage design which was passed onto Global Tiles and Bathrooms’ web developers, MEANit, to build both the homepage design and use as the styling template for the remaining build of the website.
